Dr. Jennifer Bryan is a nationally recognized expert on gender identity and sexuality.
She has worked in public and private schools nationwide helping educational
organizations navigate the emotionally charged issue of gender identity with dignity and
respect. Gender and sexuality identity are central components of healthy development
for all kids ages preK through 12th grade. Dr. Bryan believes we need as many
thoughtful and informed adults as possible supporting healthy student development.
Dr. Bryan has been a practicing psychologist since 1994, and has specialized in gender
and sexuality consultation in schools since 2001. Dr. Bryan received her masters and
doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. Dr.
Bryan did her graduate clinical internship in Psychology at the University of
Massachusetts at Amherst and is the author of From the Dress-Up Corner to the Senior
Prom: Navigating Gender and Sexuality Diversity in PreK-12 Schools.
Edina PCN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing recognized
parenting resources to the Edina community to share actionable information with
parents and educators to help youth develop life skills.
